Posted on: 07 August 2011

The first week in August leaves us with one confirmed murder and a fatal shooting by police:

On Thursday August 4, Mark Duggan, 29, was shot dead after being stopped by police while riding in a cab. The incident is now being investigated by the IPCC (and so is not officially a 'murder investigation').

Two days later a 20 year-old man was shot dead following an argument between two groups at a bus stop in West Norwood. He has not yet been identified by police.

Other non-fatal incidents include the stabbing of a 23 year-old man in Belvedere on Saturday, August 6.
