Case synopsis:

Mark Tremain, 52, died two weeks after being assaulted in Lambeth.

He was found suffering from facial injuries after police were called to reports of two men fighting in Albert Square at 5.50pm on 31 May 2018.

Mr Tremain, of Albert Square, was taken to hospital by air ambulance in a critical condition and died on 14 June 2018. 

A post-mortem gave the cause of death as a head injury.

A 20 year-old man was arrested at the scene of the incident on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

Detective Chief Inspector John Massey, of the Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: “Sadly Mr Tremain has now died and we need the public’s help to understand all the circumstances that led up to his death. I would appeal to any witnesses, or anyone who has any information about the incident, to come forward. Any information about this inquiry could be vital.”
