Case synopsis:

Brenton Roper, 41, was stabbed and shot dead in Bow on 13 May 2017.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene in Eagling Close at around 4.29pm.

Mr Roper, who featured in the video for Dizzee Rascal's 2015 hit Nutcrackerz, was pronounced dead at 5.37pm and a post-mortem confirmed he died from gunshot injuries.

On 27 June 2017 Mohammed Shaid, 26 (26.07.90) of Arrow Road, Bow, Monzur Ahmed, 26 (02.08.90) of Whitethorn Street, Bow, and Foyzur Rahman, 27 (21.06.90) of Beveridge Mews, Stepney, were charged with murder. On 7 September Shah Mohammed Habibur Rahman, 27 (28.06.90) of Longbridge Road, Dagenham, was charged with murder. 

They are due to stand trial at the Old Bailey on 8 January 2018.

Detectives had previously appealing for witnesses and information - particularly from anyone who passed the area while travelling westbound on the Hammersmith and City or District Lines.

Mr Roper's family said: "Brenton was a loving and loyal son, dad, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was a well respected man and had respect for others; we are all devastated that he was taken from us in such a horrific way."
