Case synopsis:

Jay Sewell, 18, was stabbed to death in Eltham on 11 December 2018.

He was attacked at Alwold Crescent at around 9.50pm and was taken to hospital by friends.

Jay died in hospital. A second 18 year-old man was treated for stab injuries and discharged.

On 16 December 2018 Charlie Dudley, 25 (07.09.93), of Sibthorpe Road, Lee, was charged with murder. He is due to stand trial on 10 June 2019.

Six men and two women have also been arrested and remain under investigation.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command, led by DCI Simon Harding, are investigating.

DCI Simon Harding, said: "We need to hear from anyone who saw what happened in Alwold Crescent.

"We have already spoken to a number of people as part of our initial enquiries, but we would like to hear from anyone who lives near the scene who saw anything that might assist our investigation to contact us. Did you see anyone going to and from the scene? Did you see the fight? Perhaps you saw something after the incident that in retrospect may be linked. We would urge you to get in touch right away.”
