Case synopsis:

Liam Alan Harman, 28, was stabbed to death at a block of flats in Harold Hill on 11 July 2017.

Police and paramedics were called to the address on Straight Road just before 10.40pm.

Mr Harman, of Harold Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11.22pm. A post-mortem confirmed the cause of death was a stab wound to the chest and abdomen.

On 20 July 2017 Nathan Charles, 22, was arrested and charged with murder. He is due to stand trial at the Old Bailey on 15 January 2018.

Detectives continue to appeal for witnesses and information. DS Brett Hagen, leading the investigation, said: “We believe that there are still outstanding suspects in this case, and we would ask anyone who has information about the murder and anyone involved to contact police as soon as possible. Any information received will be treated with the strictest confidence.”
