Case synopsis:

Malik Chattun, 22, was stabbed to death on a housing estate in Kingston on 5 August 2018.

Police and paramedics were called to Cambridge Gardens at 2.16am.

Mr Chattun, from Surbiton, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3.02am.

A post-mortem gave the cause of death as a single stab wound.

Two 19 year-old men were arrested on suspicion of murder on 6 August 2018 before being released on police bail.

On 1 November 2018 Finley Ahwan, 19 (24.09.99) of Worcester Park, Surrey, and Kyle Hill, 19 (02.09.99), of no fixed address, were charged with murder.

They are due to stand trial at the Old Bailey on 23 April 2019.

During previous appeals, Detective Chief Inspector Mark Cranwell said: "It is believed that the victim may have been involved in an altercation involving up to 10 people prior to being assaulted.

"We need to hear from anyone who was there who may have any information no matter how small. It could be that you were simply a witness to the incident and not directly involved, we need to eliminate you from the investigation as soon as possible."
