Case synopsis:

Lukey Maxwell, 22, was stabbed to death in Tottenham on 5 June 2015.

The aspiring musician was found collapsed in the street in Northumberland Park shortly after midnight.

Mr Maxwell was pronounced dead at the scene. A postmortem later gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the back.

Detectives arrested three men and two women on suspicion of murder. Four of them were later released with no further action.

On 7 June 2015 Arthur Gorol, 36 (18/05/1979) of Tregelles Road, Hoddesdon, was charged with murder. The case against him was discontinued on 17 August 2015.

The Crown Prosecution Service said in a statement: ‘In light of the evidence, including from a forensic expert, now available, it has been determined that there is insufficient evidence to provide a realistic prospect of conviction and the case has therefore been discontinued.’

The investigation continues.
