Case synopsis:

Kamil Malysz, 34, was found stabbed to death at a flat in Acton on 27 January 2019.

Police were called to the multiple-occupancy residential property in Alfred Road at 10.15am.

The victim, whose extended family live in Poland, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem gave the cause of death as haemorrhaging due to a stab injury.

Detectives launched a murder investigation and arrested a 33 year-old man, who was later released on bail.

Detective Chief Inspector Katherine Goodwin said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the vicinity of Alfred Road from the early hours of Wednesday 23 January until Sunday 27 January, to contact the team.

“We believe Mr Malysz’s death could have taken place as early as the Wednesday prior to him being found.

“Our team continues to work hard to establish the circumstances which led to the loss of this young man’s life.

“I would therefore urge you to share any piece of information you may have, and let officers decide on its relevance to the investigation."
