Case synopsis:

Elyon Poku, 20, was stabbed to death after a fight at a house party in Stamford Hill.

Police and paramedics were called to a flat in Wilderton Road at around 12.50am on 22 September 2018.

The victim was taken to hospital with stab injuries but was pronounced dead at around 4.30am.

A post-mortem found the cause of death was shock and haemorrhage due to his wounds.

A 17 year-old man also suffered stab wounds and a 24 year-old man was found with a head injury. Both were taken to hospital for treatment.

Seven men have been arrested during the murder investigation.

DI Rita Tierney said: "We believe there were up to 200 young people at the party which began on Friday evening and which Elyon attended. We need to speak to everyone who was there. I would like to make a further appeal to anyone who attended and saw the incident, or who otherwise has heard what happened and may have vital information, to call us right away.

"If you have not spoken to us already, please come forward and tell us what you saw or heard. It could make all the difference.

"You may know who is responsible but you have fears about coming forward and speaking to police. There are special measures we can put in place to protect you.

“Alternatively, call Crimestoppers where you can give information anonymously."

Elyon’s family said in a statement: “Elyon was loved by his family, and the community. He has been murdered for no reason. We are appealing for witnesses who may have information to contact police.”
