Killer gets 20 years for Wesley Sterling murder

A Jamaican who stabbed an innocent teenager to death during a riot at a 16th birthday party has been jailed for at least 20 years.
Carleto Salmons, 28, plunged a knife into the heart of 16-year-old Wesley Sterling as a gang tried to gatecrash the event in Croydon, south London.
Wesley, a friend of the birthday boy and an invited guest, was 'in the wrong place at the wrong time,' the Old Bailey heard.
Salmons - who was the partner of the mother organising the event - was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 20 years before parole.
