Footballer Gavin Grant jailed for 25 years

A football star who shot dead his childhood friend in a gangland feud on a lawless housing estate has been jailed for at least 25 years.
Former Millwall striker Gavin Grant, 25, executed 21 year-old Leon Labastide in the street outside his mother's home in 2004.
His friends Gareth Downie, 26, and Damien Williams, 33, were given the same sentence for their part in the murder on the Stonebridge Estate in Harlesden, northwest London.
