  1. Kaleem Shaik, 41, an Indian citizen, was found dead at a residential address on Bondway, Vauxhall, Lambeth, at around 8pm on 1 January. He had suffered a stab wound to the neck. A suspect, Daniel Levy, 48 (05.12.1977) of Bondway, Lambeth, was arrested the same day and charged with murder on 3 January.
  2. Maliki Sharma, 18, was stabbed in Victoria Road, Feltham, in the London borough of Hounslow, at around 5pm on 12 January. He was taken to hospital with multiple knife wounds but was pronounced dead. A 16-year-old boy was charged with murder on 13 February.
  3. Isiayah Henry, a three-year-old boy from Woolwich, died on 19 January, just over two weeks after he was admitted to hospital with serious injuries. Police were called on 3 January after concerns were raised about his condition. On 20 February the boy’s mother Tanisha Henry, 28 (19.04.97) of St Marys Street, Woolwich, and Mikael Williams, 30 (27.02.95) of Beaconsfield Rd, SE17, were charged with murder.
  4. Vanessa Pountney-Chadha, 58, was found dead at her home in Applegarth Drive, Ilford, Redbridge, after police were called at 4am on 27 January. A suspect, Dalip Chadha, 57 (10.08.1968), of Applegarth Drive, was arrested at the scene and charged with murder.
  5. Amaal Raytaan, 50, was stabbed in Pound Lane, Willesden, Brent, at around 4pm on 31 January. She died at the scene. Her son, Najiib Raytaan, 25 (08.04.00) of Harlesden Road, NW10, was arrested later the same evening and on 2 February was charged with murder.
  6. Mohamed Malki, 33, was found stabbed at a property in Manor Park Road, Harlesden, Brent, after police were called at 6.05pm on 11 February. He died at the scene. The Metropolitan Police launched a murder investigation. A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on 15 February before being released on bail. DI Barry Hart said: “I continue to encourage anyone who has any information in relation to Mohamed’s death to contact officers and assist with our investigation.”
  7. Suleyman Nuh, 25, was stabbed in Alvanley Gardens, West Hampstead, Camden, at around 4.27pm on 29 January. He was taken to hospital but died of his injuries on 9 February. A 21-year-old man, who was arrested on 30 January, was charged with attempted murder before Suleyman’s death. On 12 February the Metropolitan Police confirmed they were treating the case as a suspected murder. Chief Superintendent Jason Stewart said: “I am aware of concerns in the local community, but I would like to reassure people that this is believed to have been an isolated incident and there is no information at this time to suggest this was a racially-motivated attack.”
  8. An 18-year-old man was found stabbed in Rye Lane, near the junction with Heaton Road, Peckham, in the borough of Southwark, after police were called at around 7.09pm on 14 February. He died after being taken to hospital. Police appealed for information from anyone who was near to Rye Lane between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
  9. Lorik Abazi, 22, was found stabbed in Hesterman Way, Croydon, after the emergency services were called at 1.15am on 15 February. Lorik, from Croydon, died after being taken to hospital. Two other men, both aged 21, were also found with stab wounds and treated in hospital. On 19 February Ellis Anim-Annor, 28 (28.08.1997), of Belgravia Gardens, Bromley, was charged with murder. Lorik’s family said: “Lorik was a caring, smart young man with a good sense of humour and his whole future ahead of him. We, his parents, brother, girlfriend, grandparents and extended family and friends loved him very much. A light has gone out in our lives, and we are devastated beyond words by his loss.”
  10. Julia Taylor, 57, was found dead at a residence in Lucan Place, Chelsea, after police were called at 12.23pm on 12 February. Two men, aged 54 and 56, were arrested on suspicion of murder on 16 and 17 February. DI Emma Sharp said: “I encourage anyone who may have any information which could support the investigation to contact us.”
  11. A 74-year-old woman was found dead after police were called to a residence in St George’s Square, Forest Gate, Newham, at around 12.36pm on 17 February. A suspect, Richard Clayton, 44 (30.03.81), of St George’s Square, E7, who was known to the victim, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. Clayton was charged with murder on 20 February.
