Vicky Amaning, 34, was struggling to cope with her deteriorating health and the impact of the Covid lockdown on top of caring for her two autistic sons when she set fire to her home in south London in March 2021. She detailed her plans in her diary but was classed as ‘low risk’ by her counsellor two days before her death. Vicky’s mother believes that ‘more should have been done’.
